FAQ
What owners ask before starting.
Straight answers about Dom, your data, setup, control, and what each plan unlocks.
Dom as your AI manager
Who is Dom?
Dom is Forkestra's AI venue manager. The name comes from majordomo — the person trusted to keep the whole house running. Dom connects sales, stock, staffing, ordering, menu, prep, and margins so you can ask one question and act on the answer.
Why not just use the dashboards I already have?
Dashboards still leave you to connect the answer and decide what happens next. With Dom, you can talk through the problem, request the numbers, chart, or report when they help, and turn the answer into a task or next step without starting over in another tool.
What can I ask Dom?
Talk to Dom as you would with a trusted manager who knows your venue. Ask about sales, margins, stock, staffing, ordering, prep, menus, or goals. Discuss options and keep asking follow-up questions until the next step is clear.
Does every answer come with a chart?
No. Dom answers in plain language first. Ask for a chart, table, or PDF when it makes the answer easier to understand or share.
Where can I talk to Dom?
Use Dom inside Forkestra or through Telegram, privately or in a shared chat with your team. Dom can also deliver scheduled updates by email and as PDFs. WhatsApp and Viber support are planned.
How does Dom keep me briefed through the day?
Every plan includes Dom’s Morning Brief to prepare you for the day, with a quick overview and action cards. Pro and Max add operational updates as the day develops and an after-close summary that brings together what surfaced during the day, alongside full conversations, scheduled reports, and tasks that run on your terms.
Actions, control, and trust
Can Dom make changes on his own?
Dom can investigate, monitor, and prepare work without interrupting you. Before anything changes, Forkestra shows what will happen and asks the right person to approve it. Every action is recorded.
Who can approve an action?
If you run the venue yourself, you can. If you share responsibility, only an owner or manager with the right permission can approve that action. Being part of a chat does not automatically grant approval rights.
What is recorded in the audit trail?
Forkestra records who requested the action, what Dom proposed, who approved it, what was executed, and the result.
How do I know an answer is grounded in my venue?
Dom links operational recommendations to the underlying venue evidence, such as a sales period, stock movement, or shift pattern. When the data is limited, Dom says so.
Setup, data, and integrations
Do I need to switch my POS?
No. Forkestra works alongside the systems you already use, without forcing you to replace the POS and workflows your team already knows.
How long does setup take?
For a supported live connection, setup can take minutes. Once the first data arrives, Dom can prepare your first briefing the same day.
Does Dom learn how my venue operates?
Yes. Dom learns from your venue history, decisions, and preferences, so conversations and briefings become more relevant over time. Every action remains tied to the person who requested or approved it.
Where is Forkestra hosted?
Forkestra’s production application, databases, object storage, and backups are hosted within the European Union. Specialist services are reviewed separately and protected through the safeguards described in our Privacy Policy.
Plans and venues
Can I start for free?
Yes. Start without a credit card, try Max for 30 days, and continue on Air for free if you don’t upgrade.
Which plan is right for my venue?
Choose Air for a clear daily view, Morning Brief, and digital QR menu; Pro when you want Dom, AI-assisted menu descriptions, translations and pairings, and optimisation; and Max when you want to bring the team, kitchen, custom menu and app domains, and companion apps into Forkestra.
Can I change or cancel a paid plan later?
Yes. Forkestra shows the price and effective date before you confirm a plan change. Upgrades can take effect immediately, while a move back to Air is scheduled for the end of the current billing period.
Is this suitable for more than one venue?
Yes. Each venue keeps its own operational context while authorised owners and managers can work across locations. Contact us for volume pricing when you are ready to connect more than one venue.
Still have a question?
Tell us what you run and which POS you use. We’ll give you a straight answer.
